Novation EPP Participant Redmere Technology wins Innovation Award

Chip Designer Redmere Technology (www.redmere.com), founded by Peter Smyth, a past participant of the RDC’s Novation Enterprise Platform Programme, has won the top Innovation Award presented by the Irish Technology Leadership Group in Silicon Valley, California. Redmere started life in our Incubation Centre located at Millmount, Drogheda (graduating in 2008). The Award ceremony was attended by the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Redmere won the Innovation Award, recognising its unique technology which allows manufacturers to create thin and flexible cables for connecting high definition devices such as television sets, camcorders and digital cameras. Its EyeWire chip technology can reduce the amount of copper in a cable by up to 80 per cent, which allows for thin flexible cables of about 2mm in diameter.
